F 17 North
American Championship… The F17 Class debuted, the new F17 super
wing (640) aluminum mast, this is the same mast section used on
the Nacra F18 Infusion. The mast is rig & fittings are mounted
exactly in the same position as the F17 carbon
mast. Two new boats were equipped & made available for
the contestants to test the new class legal rig. Most of the top
F17 sailors took the time to
put the mast & sail thru some testing against the carbon rig.
Overall comment : Nacra Design Group gets “A”, didn’t
seem to be anymore hobby horsing in the chop compared to the
carbon mast. & #1
