& Carrie Howe for their 1th place finish at
the 2007 North American Formula 18 Class Championship in
Texas. Sailing their Nacra F18 Infusion to fifteen
first & one second place finishes.
John
Tomko
& Ian Billings (#688) was second followed by
John Casey
& Brian Karr (#647) in third place both teams were also sailing F18
infusions.
Results
Nacra F18 took four of the
top five places, What’s truly exciting is that 8 of the
top twelve boats were Nacra F18s

F17 North American Championship, Caseville, Mi.
(Results)
Sailors from Florida, Indiana,
Colorado, Ohio, New Jersey and
Michigan
competed for the Championship. The event was held in,
Caseville Michigan located approximately 150 miles north of
Detroit Michigan.
The
shores of Saginaw Bay
provided a great venue with Turquoise water, clean sandy
beaches and beautiful views of the Charity Islands and dazzling sunsets. Twenty Boats
registered for the F17 North Americans sailed over a
four-day period in winds that ranged from 18 to 20 mph
on Saturday to 6 to 8 on Monday. No races were held on
the final day due to lack of wind.

Nacra has finished the F18 worlds in Yeppoon Australia
with a great result, 4 boats within the first 7 boats
overall, first junior award sailor overall, first female

North American Championships Wrap Up in Racine
The International Nacra Class
Association thanks the Catamaran Racing Association of
Wisconsin (CRAW) for hosting the 2006 North American
Championships which took place August 15 - 18 at the
Racine Yacht Club on Lake Michigan. 40 boats
participated in the event across four classes: N20, F17,
F18 and N6.0. The top spot in each fleet
was secured with dominant performances of nearly
straight bullets by John Casey/Kenny Pierce (N20), Matt
Struble (F17), Mike Kranz/Robert Remmers (F18 Infusion),
Randy/Lindsey Johnson (N6.0). Spectacular photos of the

In addition to the great racing and a "Go Fast" Racing
Clinic, there were nightly parties featuring live
entertainment, free beer, rum samples, delicious food
and the now infamous "Tour du Swag" Raffle, where
everyone went home a winner. The Event Chairman was
Daniel Hearn, and key committee members included: Rob
Seder (grounds management); Chris Blake
(food/entertainment); Guy Selsmeyer (race committee), Ed
Winders (scoring); Ethan Brown (raffle); Dave Harkness
(trophies); John "JJ" Johnson ( treasurer/vice chair);
and Geoff Sobering (event photographer). |

| Nacra F17s score big at
Catfight VII, Going
into the last day of racing seven of the top ten places
were F17s, on the final day the winds pick up & the
sloops seem to sail to their numbers. In the final
results 3 of the top 5 positions belonged to the F17s,
including the 1st place boat sailed by Matt Struble
(F17) topping the 36 boat spinnaker class. |

North Sea Regatta

Nacra F18 Infusion
keeps on dominating F18 fleet!
After four days of
racing with 12 races sailed in total, it
was very obvious and clear that the
Nacra F18 Infusion is the best F18 out
there. During this regatta there has
been raced in a huge range of different
sailing conditions, from 5 knts with
flat water, 10 knts choppy waves to 25
knts with big waves. The Nacra F18
showed to be a superb allround boat and
demonstrated it can win races in any
sailing condition. We especially would
like to congratulate Mischa & Sander,
Vincent & Herwin, Sascha & Gunnar and
Coen & Peter on their result. Great
performance guys!

The Nacra F18 Infusion
past all her tests this week. It had her launch
only a couple of months ago and is alreay
competing for the titles in big international
events! "We could not dream of a better start of
the season and the long life of this Nacra F18
Infusion" Mischa Heemskerk said. " we are very
happy about the results and we got very good
response on the boat and orders at Nacra Europe
dealers are coming in and we just have started
sailing with the Infusion. There is so much more
to learn in trim and handling but these results
shows us the potentail of this boat and we will
only be going faster and faster!!!"

| The races were held at Hellecat ( Hellevoetsluis) and
there were 30 teams that competed. Seven races were
sailed during the weekend and a lot of sailors went home
very very satisfied but tired. Each and every
race was won by a Nacra Infusion and so this was a
very good way for the Nacra Teamriders to prepare
themselfs for Eurocat ( Carnac, France) next week.
